Boilerplate: Outsideleft first got its fingerprints onto the web in Los Angeles in 2004 featuring arts, music and pop culture otherwise and elsewhere broadly ignored. In some ways we were inspired as much by California's Assemblage Artists, New York punk and the late 70s fanzine scene, outsiders all, as the enabling technology and our love of music and pop culture. In an era where user generated content was the buzz... Outsideleft was imagined as a curated space, where anyone able to string a sentence or two together could come and write as part of an alike minded community. Now here we are still.
